College General Psychology

(can also be a reference to Senior High Psychology, if applicable only)

(I took this up, at CITE Technical Institute... this is based on our Instructor's Lectures...
which I kept some notes over my notebook...)

"When there is life, then there is motion..."

Motion or Movement - is the first manifestation of life.

Two types of Motion:
[1] Locomotion - a movement from one place to another;
[2] Self-Motion or Internal Motion - a movement in place;

Two types of Creatures:
[1] Living Creature;
[2] Non-living Creature;

-----

What do you mean when you say, it is a Soul?

Soul - is the starter or principal of life;

"Soul is something that drives a creature to move..."
-----

Kinds of Living Things Types of Souls Attributes
[1] Plants [1] Vegetative [1] a
[2] Animals [2] Sensitive or Sentient [2] a,b
[3] Humans [3] Rational [3] a,b,c

-----
*Attributes:

[a] = Allows : Organization, Nutrition, Reproduction, Conservation, and Growth;

[b] = Have a sense of Knowledge;

[c] = Have a will or desire or Intellectual Knowledge;

3 Types of Souls:

1st Type : "Vegetative Life" (Plants)

     * it has stimulus response :
        >to sunlight, water, & nutrients from soil...
     * it has innate, involuntary reactions...
     * it has an inborn and predictable behaviours...

         #--o--#

2nd Type : "Sensitive Life" (Animals)

     * it is a higher form than a vegetative soul...

     * it is more advanced...
     * it has senses...

         #--o--#

3rd Type : "Rational Life" (Humans) = "Vegetative Life + Sensitive Life"

      *Vegetative Life on Rational Soul:

             *Stimulus Response
             *Predictable

      *Sensitive Life on Rational Soul:

              *Higher Form
              *More Advanced
              *has 5 Senses
              *has Intelligence
